A pair of Merton teens are flying high after scooping the top honour at London Fashion Week.
Emmanuella Yiadom-Boakye, 17, and 19-year-old Monica Hoilett's designs just could not be split by the judges as the duo were named joint winners, beating out 18 others finalists.
Commenting on the final Maria Alvarez, founder and chief executive of the charity which sponsored the event, Fashion Awareness Direct, praised the designers' efforts.
“They’re the youngest designers to ever show at London Fashion Week," she said.
"We are giving real opportunities to people so they can progress into the fashion industry.”
