The entry deadline for this year’s Richmond Business Awards is fast approaching.

Nominations for businesses and charities in the 14 categories must be made by September 30, after which a judging panel will decide the winners who will receive free PR and widespread recognition.

The same date applies to online votes in the People’s Choice category.

The awards, run by Richmond Borough Chamber of Commerce in association with the Richmond and Twickenham Times, will be presented when 300 businesses gather at a gala event taking place at the RFU in Twickenham on November 16.

The event will be hosted by TV’s Greg Dyke, with MPs Zac Goldsmith and Sir Vince Cable attending.

One of the most fiercely contested award categories is likely to be the Best New Start-up, with chamber of commerce CEO Anne Newton stating: “Our independent judges are seeking niche, sustainable start-ups who are overcoming adversity or barriers - i.e time, resource or personal - and so succeeding in their highly competitive markets. If you are a start-up, give it a go.”
