A busy road in Bromley will close for two consecutive weekends to enable a crane to be operated.

Westmoreland Road will be shut on the weekends of September 22 and 29.

The crane is needed for the St Mark’s Square development, which has been under way for more than a year and will deliver 200 new apartments to Bromley town centre.

Westmoreland Road will shut from 8am each Saturday until around 7pm on the Sunday evenings.

Traffic will be diverted via Hayes Road, Hayes Lane and Masons Hill.

Property owners in Westmoreland Road will have access at either side of the closing point and pedestrians will be unaffected.
