An indoor market where mothers buy and sell baby and children’s items is coming to Purley this Saturday.
Mum2mum market, which provides an opportunity for parents to make money by selling on outgrown baby clothes and equipment to other families, will be held at St Mark’s Church from 10am to noon.
All items on sale must be second hand, in good condition and aimed at 0-6-year olds.
Cath Harrop, founder of Mum2mum market, said: “I found eBay frustrating as a buyer and expensive as a seller and buying a pushchair that turned up filthy and broken was the final straw.
“I was convinced there must be a better way and mum2mum market was born!”
Mrs Harrop started the business in 2011.
Having traded on eBay and at car boot sales, Mrs Harrop felt there was a need for an event that brought together local parents, so they could meet face to face.
Admission is £2 on the door and free for the last half hour of the sale. Entry for children is free.
