Arrowcroft's plans for the Gateway site are due to be brought before the planning committee this week before a public inquiry later this month.
The plans for the derelict piece of land next to East Croydon station have remained in limbo since a legal battle between developers Arrowcroft and Stanhope Schroder began.
Croydon Council has applied for a compulsory purchase order on the land, for which the inquiry is due to begin on September 17.
The Arrowcroft scheme is the council's preferred project, but Stanhope Schroder owns part of the Gateway site and the two firms are locked in a legal battle to gain control of the prime development space.
At the committee meeting this Thursday, Arrowcroft is expected to submit its revised planning application, which after much controversy, includes a new Warehouse Theatre.
