CROYDON COUNCIL THE CROYDON (FREE PARKING PLACES) (DISABLED PERSONS) (No.7) TRAFFIC ORDER 2007

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Croydon Council on 3 September 2007 made the above-mentioned Traffic Order under Sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Road Traffic Act 1991.

2. The general effect of the Croydon (Free Parking Places) (Disabled Persons) (No.7) Traffic Order 2007 would be to:
(a) revoke the disabled parking places outside No.27 Arundel Road, Selhurst, outside No.91 Beckford Road, Addiscombe, outside No.13/17 Clement Close, Purley, outside No.55 Clifton Road, Coulsdon, outside No.21 Kemerton Road, Addiscombe, outside No.77 and No.80 Lyndhurst Road, Thornton Heath, outside No.111 Northborough Road, Norbury, outside No.58 and Nos.77/79 Ockley Road, Croydon, outside No.10 Redstart Close, New Addington, outside No.41 Salcot Crescent, New Addington, and outside No.134 Strathyre Avenue, Norbury;
(b) designate new parking places at which vehicles displaying a disabled persons' badge may be left without charge or time limit outside No.5 Courtney Road, Croydon (converting a 'pay and display' bay), outside Nos.229 and 231 Davidson Road, Croydon, outside Nos.20 and 22 Gonville Road, Thornton Heath, outside No.7 Heather Way, Selsdon, (2 wheels up on footway), outside Nos.63 and 65 Lakehall Road, Thornton Heath, outside Nos.115 and 117 Lakehall Road, Thornton Heath, outside No.53 Maplethorpe Road, Thornton Heath, outside No.165 Norbury Avenue, Norbury, outside Nos.17, 19 and 21 Northbrook Road, Croydon, outside No.27 Redford Avenue, Thornton Heath, opposite Nos.14 and 16 St Peter's Street, South Croydon (converting a 'pay and display' bay), outside Nos.43 and 45 Wentworth Road, Croydon and outside Nos.28 and 30 Woodside Court Road, Addiscombe.

3. A copy of the Order which will come into operation on 10 September 2007 and of all associated Orders can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Order was made, at the Enquiry Counter, "One Stop" Facility, Ground Floor, Taberner House, Park Lane, Croydon, Surrey.

4. Copies of the Order may be obtained from Parking Services, Environment, Culture and Public Protection Department, 1st Floor, Davis House, Robert Street, Croydon, CR0 1QQ.

5. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the ground that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made there under have not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
