A murder investigation has been launched after a man in his 20s was fatally stabbed in the early hours of this morning.
Emergency services were called to Cambridge Gardens shortly after 2am on August 5 following reports of a stabbing.
Police officers arrived to find the victim suffering from stab wounds and, despite attempts to save him using CPR, he was pronounced dead at 3am.
His next of kin will be informed soon, a Met Police spokesman said, while a post-mortem examination will also take place.
The force is also in the process of identifying the man and no arrests have been made at this stage.
Meanwhile, a “large crime scene” remains in place and additional officers are in the area and several enquiries are underway.
Investigators from the Met’s homicide and major crime command are leading the case with police in Kingston.
Anyone with information is urged to call police on 101, quoting CAD939/05Aug or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
