An England flag is flying proudly over Bromley Civic Centre in a show of solidarity with Gareth Southgate’s young stars.
Councillor Michael Rutherford asked the leader of the council to fly the St George’s flag over the premises in Stockwell Close.
Leader of the council, Colin Smith, promptly agreed and used the flag from his own home.
Cllr Rutherford, of Bromley Town ward, told News Shopper that England can absolutely win the world cup.
“Fingers crossed for a good result but I think we will win 2-1 tonight,” he added.
And the best place to watch the big game in Bromley tonight?
“Tough question," he said. "But I think The Partridge pub just off the market square."
