A four-year-old girl has been rushed to hospital this afternoon after being hit by a car in Thornton Heath.
Officers were called by the London Ambulance Service just after midday to reports of a hit and run in Thornton Road.
The child was taken to hospital and police have said that her condition is non life-threatening or life-changing.
The car that failed to stop has been described as green in colour.
Officers from Croydon are investigating and are appealing for witnesses and people with dash cam footage of the collision to come forward.
No arrests have been made. Enquiries continue.
