Family and friends of Mikey Carlos Brown gathered for his funeral in Earlsfield today.
As his flower-topped coffin was carried into Earlsfield Baptist Church members of the funeral party stood watching in silence, many of them in tears.
The hearse carried three white flower arrangements - one reading 'Mikey', one 'Son' and the other 'Bruv'.
Mikey was fatally stabbed in June at the age of 23 during a night out with friends at the Works nightclub in Kingston.
Outside the church was his girlfriend Marcie, who gave birth to their first child - Romarni Mikey Brown - just two weeks after Mikey died.
During the service Mikey's mum Claudette addressed the mourners with a poem called I Only Wanted You. Marcie, and Mikey's brother Scott, also read poems.
Mikey's aunt Clara Mckay read out a scripture from the Biblical book of John and the mourners sang hymns including How Great Thou Art and Lord of the Dance.
After the service Mikey was buried at Wandsworth Cemetery in Magdalen Road.
Shaun Daniel Greenidge, 19, of Hilary Avenue, Mitcham, has been charged with Mikey's murder but did not enter a plea when he appeared at Sutton Magistrates' Court last month.
He was remanded in custody and will appear at the Old Bailey on October 2.
