A Sutton hospice has been given a £40,000 boost.
Every year St Raphael’s Hospice invites people from Sutton and Merton to take part in a five mile walk and dedicate a sunflower to be planted in the memorial garden.
Earlier this month 134 walkers made their way through Nonsuch Park and finished with a picnic back at the hospice.
In total the appeal raised £40,000.
Jessica Fenlon took part in the walk alongside her grandmother, Glenys Fenlon, who attends the event every year.
"It was a beautiful day for a truly wonderful charity," Jessica said.
"My favourite part was the smell of the delicious barbecue at the end of the walk, which had given me such a great appetite."
