Before Stormzy was sending the world into a spin there was another Croydon artist putting the town on the map.
J-Rock aka John Paul Horsley, has been making music for 15 years, but it was news close to home that pushed him into his next big project.
The father of five was put in touch with the founder of autism charity Anna Kennedy Online when one of his sons was diagnosed with the condition.
After much deliberation, he decided to reproduce a version of his 2003 hit 'Baby Boy’ in order to raise awareness for autism.
But J-Rock won't be singing alone this time around.
In a special twist to the song, the Croydon artist will be singing alongside seven other artists, all of whom have autism, as well as MOBO award winning R&B and hip-hop music group Big Brovas.
The charity single was released last month and the hope for all involved is that as more and more people purchase this single, greater opportunities like this can be created for lots people with autism.
