A fault on the electrical equipment caused nearly a hundred homes in Colliers Wood to be without electricity earlier today.

Thirty two homes were without supply on Cavendish Road at 2.45am this morning.

A further 66 homes had to be isolated to allow engineers to safely carry out repairs and all homes were restored with electricity at 11.54 am.

A spokesman for UK Power Networks said: “A fault on our electrical equipment caused customers to lose supply in the Cavendish Road area.

“Sixty six customers had to be isolated to allow our engineers to safely carry out repairs and 95 customers had been restored by 11.45am.

“Engineers are currently working on restoring power to the remaining three customers as quickly as possible.

“We appreciate how difficult it is to be without electricity and apologise to all those affected.”
