How far would you go to avoid paying a bill on a night out?
Well three people from Coulsdon have been arrested after an allegation that they tried to skip out on the bill following a meal at Caterham restaurant Fiaba Del Mediterraneo.
Staff at the restaurant alleged that on March 11, the three diners left the premises and were seen getting into a taxi without making any attempt to pay for their meal.
When they were challenged by staff, an altercation took place, which included chairs been thrown and objects used to strike the victims.
Surrey Police were called to the High Street where they arrested the trio in connection with the incident.
A 48-year-old woman from was arrested for affray and making off without paying (released under investigation). A 16-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of affray (released under investigation). A 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of affray (released under investigation).
The investigation remains ongoing and anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting crime reference number 45180026142.
