A new dessert cafe selling bubble pop waffles, crepes, puddings and almost 20 different flavoured sundaes is coming to Croydon.

Creams Cafe was granted planning approval to move into the former payday loan shop in 12-14 George Street.

With the next closest store in Norbury, it's fair to assume not everyone has had a chance to taste what it has to offer.

With the new store set to open 11am-11pm, seven days a week, people will have ample opportunity to try it out.

In the report submitted by Creams to Croydon Council, it says that more than 70 seats indoors will be built and 15 jobs created once the store is fully operational.

"Creams Cafe will invest in installing new shopfront, advertisements and shop fit out which is a significant investment," the report said.

"In doing so, the new cafe will improve the appearance of the street scene and ensure that a high level of footfall is maintained."

But the question on everyone's mind is what kind of flavours will the store be selling.

On the Creams website it lists the desserts available.

These range from a sundae with bubblegum sauce and popping candy, to bubble pop waffles filled with Maltesers.

And if you don't fancy anything on the menu, you can even use your imagination and invent your own creation.

There is no word yet on when the store will officially open though.
