It was an opening weekend to remember for the Sanderstead Dramatic Club.

In its 79th annual pantomime the club performed an originally scripted Red Riding Hood which had some of the audience singing its praises.

"We thoroughly enjoyed the Saturday evening performance," one member of the audience said.

"The whole cast was excellent and very entertaining – well done and thanks.”

Based on the well-known fairy tale, with an original script by SDC chairman and director John Desbottes, the show features a live band of local musicians, choreography from local dance school Dance with Grace, and scenery designed by local artist Di Ralston and her team.

The show goes on this week from Tuesday, January 9 to Saturday, January 13 at the All Saints Parish Hall in Sanderstead.
