A third person has been arrested in relation to the murder of a Thornton Heath teenager on New Year's Eve.
Kyall Parnell, 17, was stabbed in Norwood Road near the junction with Station Rise, Tulse Hill, at around 10.40pm on December 31.
Detectives investigating the killing have already arrested two 16-year-olds, one from Lambeth on suspicion of murder and the other from Thornton Heath on suspicion of violent disorder.
Today (January 8) police arrested a third 16-year-old boy, from Lambeth, on suspicion of violent disorder. He remains in custody at a south London police station.
DI Ian Titterrell, from the Met's homicide and major crime command, said: "Kyall was only 17 and his death has devastated his family and those who knew him.
"We have made three arrests but we are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding Kyall's death.
"We would urge anyone with information about what happened to contact police."
