A murder investigation has been launched after a woman was hit by a car in West Molesey.
Janet Moore, 54, was struck in a car park in in the early hours of Sunday, November 26.
Emergency services rushed to the scene after hearing reports of shouting and a car speeding away.
They found Ms Moore in the Hurst Pool car park, off Dunstall Way, with serious injuries at about 4.20am.
Ms Moore, of Farm Road in Esher, died in hospital on Saturday.
Detective Chief Inspector, Jo Hayes, of the Surrey and Sussex Major Crime Team, who is leading the investigation said. “It is clear from the early stages of the investigation that this wasn’t an accident.
“We are treating this incident extremely seriously and will leave no stone unturned in our investigation into Janet’s murder.
“I urge anyone who knows anything, no matter how small, to call us, we will support you.”
Officers are appealing to anyone in the area who may have heard or seen anything that could help the investigation.
