A Croydon man has pleaded guilty to damaging a police cell, threatening a woman outside Waitrose and assaulting a police officer.
Nizam Khan, 33, of Selhurst Road, South Norwood, pleaded guilty on November 27 at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court.
The trouble started on November 24 outside Waitrose, in Coombe Lane, Wimbledon when Khan used threatening, abusive and insulting words or behaviour towards a woman.
At the same location Khan then assaulted PC Clarke in an attempt to resist being detained, the court was told.
He pleaded guilty to these offences and also to obstructing PC Clarke in executing his duty.
The next day at Sutton Police Station, on Carshalton Road, Khan admitted to damaging a police cell to the value of £135.83.
He was ordered to pay a total of £265.83, which includes a victim surcharge.
