Lavina Zimarino's, 10, winning poster portrayed a Santa on his sleigh flying over a Christmas tree.
She said: "I am very thankful for winning this competition. I am very proud of the other children who won in the other boroughs. I saw the pictures and I think they worked extremely hard because their art work was very beautiful.
"I am very happy that the children who don’t usually get a gift on Christmas will get the chance to get one this year. I am very excited to go with my family to New Scotland Yard and turn on the Christmas lights.
"Thank you very much for this opportunity.”
The Christmas appeal aims to provide presents for children who may not receive any during the festive period.
Over 17,000 presents were donated by the public last year.

Annette Collings, school teacher who organised the competition, said: “This competition gave our pupils the opportunity to be creative whilst highlighting the importance of the charity at Christmas time.
"I was amazed at the range of ideas and designs that the children produced as well as the compassion they showed whilst learning about the charity.
"We are so proud of our runners up and in particular, Lavinia, whose winning design was fabulous”.
