The teenager who was stabbed to death in Croydon on Sunday has been named.

Aren Mali, 17, from Kenley was found with serious stab wounds when police responded to a call shortly before 7pm on October 29.

Aren was pronounced dead at the scene.

Formal identification has not taken place, however, Aren's next of kin have been informed and have agreed to release his identity.

Tributes have since flooded in for the teenager.

"This child Aren Mali was in my daughter's class,"Sharon Morgon said.

"She describes him as being really pleasant and jovial. She remembers him talking about his trip to Jamaica and his fear of the dogs guarding the house. A normal boy with no links to gangs or drugs."

The investigation is still ongoing and no arrests have been made.
