Hampton Court Road will be closed for part of November for planned resurfacing.

The work, part of the Council’s £4 million planned highway maintenance programme, will mean road closures between Hampton Court Bridge and Tagg’s Island from 8pm to 5am between November 5 and 10 and between November 12 and 15.

Councillor Peter Buckwell, cabinet member for highways and street scene, said: “The road will be closed between Hampton Court Bridge Roundabout and Church Street to through traffic with the exception of emergency response vehicles, access only will be maintained for residential traffic.

“We understand the frustration of residents as yet again this important road is closed for roadworks.

“They are, however, necessary due to resurfacing work taking place during this time.

“We apologise for any inconvenience this causes.”

The diversion route will be “clearly sign posted with traffic control gatemen at closure points to offer assistance, directions and advice”.
