A planning application has been submitted to install a car servicing unit in a Tesco car park.
Tesco on Oldfields Road in Cheam has applied to Sutton Council to build the new Xpress Centre car repair service.
If the application is approved 11 car parking spaces would be lost.
The Xpress Centre service unit would open every day of the week.
A statement on the planning application reads: "This represents a very small increase in the current traffic levels which can be negated due to the location of the Xpress Centre unit within the existing car park.
"Any vehicular movement from this location will not impact the store car park requirement or flow."
There are currently 15 Xpress Centres across the UK with new crash repair services being added each month.
