Network Rail to implement new lifts to improve access
Commuters in Carshalton station could soon benefit with new lifts and footbridges about to be proposed.
Sutton Council reported that Network Rail are close to submitting planning applications for new lifts in Carshalton, Coulsdon South and Selhurst.
The Department of Transport and Network Rail would fund the development.
Designs are expected to be submitted in autumn with work beginning soon after if proposals are accepted.
The scheme is expected to take up to two years to complete.
