Residents took to the polling booths yesterday as voting for the borough councillor for South Norwood got underway.
After all the votes were counted, there was a clear winner among the ranks.
The Labour Party's Patsy Cummings took out the win, gathering 1671, 1196 more than her closet rival.
Rebecca Natrajan from the Conservative Party was in second with 475 votes.
The Lib Dems Claire Elizabeth Bonham, the Green Party's Peter Underwood and UKIP's Michael Swadling were the other candidates.
