Join archaeologists from Historic England and unearth the stories behind the treasures found at Marble Hill.

Historian enthusiasts are being invited to get out their magnifying glasses to inspect and discover where Henrietta Howard used to play nine pin bowls at the Marble Hill bowling alley as investigations continue into the landscape at Marble Hill, on August 23.

After being awarded a grant of over four million by the Heritage Lottery fund and Big Lottery Fund from the Parks for People Programme English Heritage are carrying out a series of six million improvements to park from August.

Plans will see conservation to the exterior of Marble Hill House to preserve it for future generations along with restoring the lost 18th-century garden in places and giving the sports facilities a much-needed upgrade.

Throughout the restoration project families are invited to join in and take part in workshops and tours learn about the stories being uncovered by the English Heritage team throughout the summer.
