Mayor of London Sadiq Khan, made a surprise visit to Croydon as part of the Labour  General Election campaign.

Khan, who has been Mayor of London for one year, spoke to residents at Boxpark, with fellow Labour Elect for Croydon Central, Sarah Jones.

He addressed crowds as Labour published their manifesto on Tuesday (16 May).

The General Election was called by Prime Minister, Theresa May, as she challenged the opposition to “put forward” their plans for Brexit and “alternative plans for government”, letting the “people decide”.
