An independent charity is offering a cash reward for information after a spate of horrific knife attacks in Wandsworth.
Crimestoppers will pay up to £5,000 for information that has caused serious injury or death in the borough in the last four weeks.
A 17-year-old student, known as ‘Little Mo’, was stabbed to death while cycling through the York Road estate in Battersea at 1.25am on Sunday, April 23.
A 24-year-old man was stabbed to death at about 7pm on Tuesday, April 25 in Melody Road, Wandsworth.
A gang armed with knives, metal bars and belts confronted a 21-year-old in Barringer Square near Tooting Common on Tuesday evening (April 25).
The Metropolitan Police is investigating all the attacks. Crimestoppers is also appealing for information about the crimes.
Roger Critchell, Crimestoppers’ director of operations, said: “Carrying a knife can lead to horrific consequences for the victims, their family and friends.
"In view of recent incidents in the borough of Wandsworth, we have agreed to put up a reward to encourage those with information to contact our charity.
“Anyone who contacts Crimestoppers does so 100 per cent anonymously. We don’t ask for your personal details – all we want to know is what you know, not who you are. By working together we can help to make our communities safer.”
The reward is valid for three months, a Crimestoppers spokesperson advised.
To offer information anonymously, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or report online.
