England’s Calcutta Cup heroes put rugby coaches through their paces in a surprise training session at a Weybridge rugby club.
Stars Nathan Hughes, Jamie George and Joe Launchbury, checked in on a session of 20 coaches at Weybridge Vandals rugby club on Sunday, fresh of having retained the Six Nations title the day before in a momentous victory against Scotland.
The three players passed on their own advice in the two-hour training course, which was attended by Kingston RFC coach Pete McDonagh.
Jamie George, who was part of England’s record breaking 61-21 win against Scotland, said: “I love days like this.
“After an intense two weeks of training and preparation to take on Scotland and then yesterday’s game – being able to come to Weybridge today and learn how to coach junior rugby while adopting the Old Mutual Wealth Kids First philosophy really keeps you grounded.”
