A street fight in which a 16-year-old boy was repeatedly stabbed in the face and chest has been captured on video.

In the clip, a youth falls over in Albert Road before a hooded thug brandishing a knife appears to stab him three times before running off.

The victim then stands up and begins to wave their own weapon, the footage filmed by a witness in a passing car reveals.

Three other people, one holding what appears to be a pole, run in the direction of the attacker.

Police are investigating the horrifying incident, which happened at about 3.20pm on Saturday, March 4.

When officers arrived at the scene, the victim was not there. But he later took himself to a south London hospital suffering stab wounds to his face and back.

His injuries are not thought by police to be life-threatening, but he remains in hospital.

He was approached by a group of men who stabbed him before leaving in a vehicle, officers believe at this early stage in the investigation.

No arrests have been made.

A Met police spokeswoman said: “Enquires are ongoing to locate the vehicle and those responsible for the stabbing.

“Detectives from Croydon CID have been informed. No arrests have been made and enquires continue.”

This was the fourth time last week a teenage boy was stabbed in the borough.
