A primary school was evacuated earlier after builders suspected they found a World War Two bomb.
Students and staff fled Ronald Ross Primary School in Castlecombe Drive after the discovery was made just before 11am.
A Met Police spokesman said: "Police were called at 10.56am on Thursday March 2 to reports of a possible World War Two ordnance at a school playground in Castlecombe Drive, Wandsworth.
"Cordons and road closures were put in place, and the school was evacuated as a precaution.
"Specialist officers have now deemed the object safe - it was an electrical device, not an ordnance."
Police and London Fire Brigade attended.
