Commuters stepping off the trains at Sutton station this morning may have wondered where a faint burning smell was coming from.
But they need not fear; it appears materials are being burned at an open site adjacent to the new office block being built in Sutton Court Road.

Christopher Caulfield, who works in nearby tower block Quadrant House, described the aroma as "funky".
He said: "I was walking to work - as I do most days - and I smelled something burning.
"I decided to investigate. I thought I would have a better vantage point from my office.
"It looks like a fire."
London Fire Brigade said it had received no reports of a fire shortly after 9am today in the SM1 area.
