A strange case of theft was reported when a man attempted to steal £98 worth of chocolate from Sainsbury’s.
Police were called to the shop in Tooting High Street on Tuesday (January 31) following reports of a sweet toothed thief pilfering Cadbury's bars from the aisles.
A 40-year-old man was arrested and taken to a south London police station.
He was charged and is due to appear at court next month.
