CCTV footage of a man police want to speak to after a woman was pulled off the street and raped in Tooting has been released.

Shortly after midnight on Wednesday September 21 a woman in her 20s was attacked as she walked to her car in Lucien Road.

Her attacker, who is described as being between 20 and 25 years old, of Asian appearance, about 5ft 7in and sporting a thin moustache forced her into an address and raped her.

He was wearing glasses, a red hooded top and light coloured tracksuit bottoms.

The victim was taken to a haven and is being supported by specialist officers.

Detective Inspector Andrew Wadey, from the Sexual Offences, Exploitation and Child Abuse Command said: "This was a horrific attack on a lone woman and it is paramount that the person responsible for inflicting such trauma on this woman is caught without delay.

"A number of enquires have been carried out and we have managed to successfully obtain a DNA profile of the suspect. I would like to encourage anyone who believes they know the person responsible for carrying out this attack to contact us.

"As we have a DNA profile any information about potential suspects given to us can be quickly and easily eliminated or verified so I would like to reassure anyone that is concerned about providing information."
