Trams were severely disrupted after a taxi became stuck on the tracks.
Police were called to Coombe Road, South Croydon, at about 8.25pm yesterday after the black cab veered onto the tracks and severed critical wiring.

Tram services between Lloyd Park and Addington Village were suspended while the taxi was removed.
No service LLoyd Park to Addington Village due to a vehicle trackside in the Oaks Road area. Good service on all other routes.

No injuries were reported.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said no arrests had been made but the driver had been reported for driving without due care and attention.
