A 27-year-old man died after being hit by a train at Thornton Heath.
Officers from the British Transport Police (BTP) and paramedics were called to the station just before 5am on Sunday.
The man, from Croydon, was pronounced dead the scene.
His death is not being treated as suspicious, a BTP spokesman said. A file will be prepared for the coroner.
