The Liberal Democrats have held one Carshalton Central seat after a by-election in the ward.
Chris Williams took 43.4 per cent of the vote, a five per cent swing to the party, in the vote yesterday, July 28.
Next closest was Conservative Melissa Pearce who took 36.9 per cent of the vote with an 11 per cent swing.

The by-election was triggered after Alan Salter stepped down on June 13.
He was subsequently arrested on suspicion of fraud by false representation.
He has been bailed early August pending further police investigation.
The full Carshalton Central results:
Liberal Democrat: 1,250 votes, 43.4 per cent (+5.1)
Conservative: 1,061 votes, 36.9 per cent (+11.6)
Green: 211 votes, 7.3 per cent (-0.3)
Labour: 176 votes, 6.1 per cent (-3.1)
UKIP: 150 votes, 5.2 per cent (-10.5)
Christian People's Alliance: 29 votes, 1.0 per cent (-1.1)
