Plans to build 46 homes on the site of a former petrol station in Surbiton have been unanimously approved by councillors.
Developer Indigo Scott revised the Brighton Road plans to include nine affordable homes after originally saying that providing them was “not viable”.
Neil Jones, of Indigo, told councillors on Wednesday: “This is a sustainable site within very easy walking distance of the nearest station. I think it’s fair to say there was a thorough consultation.”
The Brighton Road site has been closed since September last year.
