A driver and their passengers had a fortunate escape from a "dramatic" car fire in Dundonald Road on Friday night.

London fire brigade were called to the scene on Friday, April 29 at 10.30pm, with police later arriving at 10.45pm.

Police were not needed to help with the fire but the London Ambulance Service were on the scene.

Twitter user Hannah Cox posted the footage of the fire, and said those inside had been able to get out.

Resident Edie Kelly said two people got out of the car and were fine.

Images sent by Didi Ferguson show the burnt out inside of the car, the damage left on the road, and a firefighter tackling the blaze.
