Police have issued CCTV footage of a man they wish to speak after a handbag with more than £9,000 worth of jewellery inside was stolen from a car.

Police were called to Tudor Close, Coulsdon on February 15 to reports of a theft from a car.

It is believed the theft happened between midday on Friday, February 12 and 10am on Sunday, February 14.

The handbag, which also contained bank cards, was taken out of the boot of the car parked in the road.

CCTV captured footage of a man using the bank cards in a store in South Norwood Hill on February 14.

He is described as black and wearing a dark baseball cap, a dark jacket and a grey hooded top.
