A Croydon man who "confronted" a Muslim woman about the Brussels terror attacks has been ridiculed online.
Matthew Doyle tweeted: “I confronted a Muslim women yesterday in Croydon. I asked her to explain Brussels. She said “Nothing to do with me”. A mealy mouthed reply.”
The tweet, which has since been deleted, went viral and soon became a hilarious meme.
I confronted a woman yesterday in Croydon. I asked her to explain Vienna. She said "It means nothing to me". A mealy mouthed reply.

Mr Doyle later offered an apology saying he was “in a state of shock” when he decided to confront the woman.
@suzanneshine For sure - however I was horrified at the events that happened and was in a state of shock.

Thank you for your thoughts. The incident did happen yesterday - If I was anyway threatening - I would be reported. Confront is a bad word.

But he later followed apparent contrition with these tweets a few hours later:
Britain is for Britain's and those who accept our currency of decent behaviour and an intolerance of the Islamic threat to our nation.
