If you want to learn about southern Italian culture then head for Donna Margherita.

This Italian restaurant and pizzeria has had praise heaped on it.

Capital Radio DJ Johnny Vaughan said it serves "the best pizza outside of Italy".

Metrolife, in the Evening Standard, said "open fire, on a cold November afternoon, was just bliss. As was the food".

Restaurant critic Kate Spice, said: "I am newly obsessed with Neapolitan food."

And Essential Living magazine described it as "the best Italian restaurant in the whole of London ".

Donna Margherita was also the first restaurant recommended in London by the Neopolitan Pizzaiuolo Association.

Time Out said the restaurant is well-known locally for offering quality pizza and a friendly family vibe. "Donna Margherita is an unpretentious and welcoming spot and the food is seriously good too."

Essential to the success of the restaurant is the quality of food, the majority of which is imported from Naples, Sardinia, Calabria and Sicily .

Ingredients are seasonal in order to ensure the best taste and nutritional value.

Babies and children are welcome and high chairs are provided. Booking is essential. There is a separate room available for parties which seats six to 18. A takeaway service is offered plus a delivery service within a one-mile radius on orders over £10.
