A Thornton Heath man has appeared in court charged with plotting terrorist attacks.
Cubeya Hassan Jama, 19, of London Road, was arrested on Friday at Stansted Airport by detectives from the Metropolitan Police’s counter terrorism unit.
EARLIER TODAY
He appeared at Westminster Magistrates Court today charged with engaging in conduct to prepare for terrorist attacks. He did not enter a plea.
Mr Jama, a Finnish national, was remanded in custody and will next appear at the Old Bailey on February 19 for a plea and case management hearing.
