A woman was rescued from her burning living room and treated for smoke inhalation last night after she accidentally set fire to cushions in her home in Chessington.
Firefighters from Epsom, Sutton, Surbiton and New Malden were called to a house in Pear Tree Close at 7.42pm yesterday, the London Fire Brigade said.
Two firefighters entered her living room wearing breathing masks and used a hose reel to extinguish the fire.
The woman was treated by paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service after suffering from smoke inhalation.
