Actor Parry Glasspool plays Harry Thompson on Channel 4's soap Hollyoaks. Before that, he studied acting at Kingston College.

He's up for the Best Newcomer prize at the National Television Awards on Wednesday.

The radio station I listen to… Radio One. I used to be a Kerrang boy.

My favourite band… It changes quite a bit. I do like Cage the Elephant (pictured above), they’re great. They have got a new album out now.

The album or song I can’t get enough of right now… You Don’t Own Me by Grace and G-Eazy

My favourite place to hear live music… I used to go to the Birmingham Academy all the time when I was a teenager.

My favourite festival memory… Seeing The Killers at Reading, that was phenomenal.

I always laugh at… have you seen Parks and Recreation? It cracks me up. That and a comedian called Louis CK. 

The best play I have seen…The 39 Steps (pictured), that was great. Really funny.

My all-time favourite musical…I quite like Rent. And Sweeney Todd.

My favourite place to watch a show…I’m going to say The Rose (Kingston).
