Jason O'Connor, 37, from Addiscombe, said: "I don't come into the town centre a lot, I prefer staying in Addiscombe.
"I quite like the top end of town near the town hall and where Park Place is going to be, but North End is really horrible sometimes because it attracts all the kids and there is quite a lot of trouble.
"Croydon does need more facilities for young people and places for them to go to stop them hanging around the shops.
"The only thing I wish Croydon had more of is green space. I ride my bike a lot and I wish there were more places like Queens Gardens.
"I would like to see them get rid of all the concrete and replace it with grass. It would be great to get some more facilities for bike users as well, like more bike storage.
"Croydon has had a bad reputation in the past, but it is definitely turning itself around."
