Mitcham & Morden's MP has spoken out about the online abuse she and fellow female Labour MPs have suffered since voting to bomb Syria.
Dec 2: Merton MP's Siobhain McDonagh and Stephen Hammond will vote "yes" to bombing Islamic State
Siobhain McDonagh, writing in the Evening Standard, said: "The abusers do seem to target women MPs with added spite. Those who have plastered 'Blair’s Spawn' on my high street.
"Those who have sent me vicious emails telling me how much I 'disgust' them. Those who have called me a warmonger."
She said abuse was coming from the 'hard left' including supporters of Momentum, an organisation capitalising on support for Jeremy Corbyn as Labour leader.
Sad but obvious abuse from ultras & @PeoplesMomentum followers often misogyny. Like domestic violence about control! https://t.co/k0rYbtgOd0

Momentum has said in the past that it "strongly disapproves of anyone who engages in abusive behaviour towards MPs or anyone else, and threatening or bullying, whether they are outside the Labour party or inside it".
