Big name headliners have been announced for Kew Gardens’ series of Kew the Music concerts next summer.
Simply Red, Will Young, Jools Holland and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra and the Gipsy Kings will all play in the stunning surroundings between July 12 and 16 for the festival’s sixth year.
Fronted by Mick Hucknall, Simply Red will perform on Tuesday, July 12. The band defined British soul in the 80s and 90s and have just celebrated their 30th birthday with a new album.
Pop Idol winner Will Young is up on July 13 while July 14’s headliner is yet to be announced.
Hootenanny host Jools brings his band on July 15, with his special guests including The Selecter’s Pauline Black and Arthur ‘Gaps’ Hendrickson.
The series is rounded off by Grammy Award winning flamenco-rockers the Gipsy Kings.
