A Tesco delivery driver sent obscene text messages to a female customer after dropping off her shopping.
Sofia Isabella was “disgusted” when she was woken up to the obscene messages after receiving an order of food from the supermarket giant yesterday evening.
The text message from the man, who called himself Joe, read: “Hie [sic] I delivered shopping to you this evening my name is Joe.
“I think your [sic] sexy"
"I want u to **** my **** while I **** your *****."
When she failed to reply he texted: "??????"
He also called her at 3am.
Ms Isabella, a 21-year-old student from Battersea, said she could not believe her eyes when she saw the message.
She said: “The guy was quite flirty and offered to come in to help with the shopping bags, but I said no.
“When I saw it I was disgusted and we are worried as well. I have been harassed before. It is really scary. The fact that Tesco aren’t taking it seriously means he could turn up at my house any day.”
Ms Isabella said she has complained to Tesco but they have said the delivery man was from a third party agency and it was a matter for the police.
She said: “Tesco have basically said it’s a matter for the police and nothing to do with them.
“They haven’t offered an apology or anything.
“Such a huge company are not even trying to salvage their reputation.”
A spokesman from Tesco said: "This behaviour is completely unacceptable. We took immediate action to ensure this agency driver will never work for Tesco again and are in contact with the customer. We are extremely sorry for any upset caused.
"This is now a matter for the Police.”
