Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew faith in his strike force was rewarded with Saturday's 5-1 hammering of Newcastle United.
Pardew, who was boss at the Magpies for four years, admitted his strike force had underperformed during Monday night's 1-0 home defeat to Sunderland.
However, two goals from Yannick Bolasie and James McArthur, plus a Wilfried Zaha volley, put right those wrongs and lifted Palace to sixth in the Premier League - until Liverpool beat Swansea City on Sunday, dropping Palace to seventh.
Pardew said: "Sometimes you have to show faith, it would have been easy to make changes.
"Puncheon, Wickham, Zaha and Bolasie were poor on Monday night for them, [against Newcastle] it was the opposite."

Next up for Palace is a trip to Everton on December 5.
